Ever feel like a total jinx....

One of my housemates had a serious accident today, and is in the hospital.Serious as in they were taken out of the house by emts and are in stable condition in ICU. My hopes and prayers are with them, but a large part of me feels like something that whales would stripmine from the bottom of an ocean because I slept thru the whole thing. As in went the entire day not knowing what had happened.
(I know that it's irrational for me to feel like this, but...) Al I ask is that people keep my freind in their thoughts and understand if I'm not at my best the next little while.

Made connection with Iksel's ship, the Warrior's Lament, in orbit around Penthouse-7. The stealth transport left with the decoy crew and after a suitable interval, we broke orbit and headed for our first stop in the Seven Worlds Alliance. The two weeks spent in jump(1 on the transport, the other on the Lament) let us settle into our cover I.D.'s and let the team sort itself with our new members. Riddick is cool walking mayhem;we need to find him a "will kill / chill for beers" shirt. Callen is versatile in all senses of the word; he can give us the polish we may need to blend with the high-lifers with one well placed spell. Pilgrim is a puzzle,the precise precision blade to Riddick's meat grinder; yet he all but begged for the team trouble magnet role(and he can have it with my heartfelt blessings).
As for the rest of us, Michiko seems to think that she will spend a long time after the mission split between purification rituals and apologizing to her ancestors. Talseia on the other hand has come out of her shell; I don't think she will be able to go back to wearing baggy shipsuits as standard dress. Lucian is reveling in his new upgrades even as he grouses about lugging a datadeck as part of his cover. Roxy is...Roxy, only demur (HA!). Aiskon will have a small army of minions ready to go any day now...and seems to have worked out a truce with Iksel over some minor issues involving setting off the fire suppression system in his quarters on Throne World.
And all I have to do is not screw up by the numbers...
